Impedance Master Model IM-91
PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
The Impedance Master IM-91 with its variable
low voltage 60 Hertz power source, is capable of driving a test current
through the impedance of a resistance welding circuit. The impedance
Master IM-91 measures the current, voltage and zero cross over of the
two values, and calculates the impedance (Z), resistance (R), and inductive
reactance (XL).
FEATURES
- 6 Foot Current and Voltage Leads to provide
access to resistance welding circuits in large tooling
- Portable Ease
of Operation
- Easy to read with large LED readouts
- Easy current and
voltage lead connections
- Direct readout in Micro OHMS
- Rugged Device
- RS232 Serial Printer Port
USES
- Measures Impedance, AC Resistance, and Inductive Reactance at
60 Hertz Frequency of:
- Single phase AC resistance welding machines
- Portable guns
- Transguns
without Transformer
- Transguns with Transformer
- Kickless cables
- Measures 60 Hertz impedance of single phase AC welders
from welding tip to power connection in the welding controls.
- Determine
tip to tip short circuit current of single phase AC resistance
welders.
- Trouble shooting of single phase AC resistance welders.
- Checking
for current shunting in resistance welding tools (decrease
of original impedance)
- Checking for deterioration of resistance welding tools
(increase of original impedance)
