To ensure the satisfactory performance of a welded structure, the quality of the welds must be determined by adequate testing procedures.

The Watteredge weld quality test tool is a simple and economical chisel that has been designed specifically for the testing of resistance spot welds in sheet metal.

This forged tool has two ½" wide sharp chisel points which allows it to easily spread sheet metal pieces to check for proper joint fusion.

The tool also features two blunt hammer-like faces that can be used to re-close the spread joint after inspection.
