Lorain County OhioMeansJobs Job Fair

On Thursday, July 17th, Watteredge was proud to participate in the Lorain County Job Fair hosted by OhioMeansJobs, an agency committed to connecting employers with qualified job seekers across the state of Ohio. This event provided an excellent opportunity for local businesses and community members to come together, network, and explore new career possibilities.

OhioMeansJobs plays a vital role in workforce development by offering a wide range of support services to both job seekers and employers. These include assistance with writing and refining resumes, practice interviews, job alerts, direct resume submissions to employers, and specialized programs for veterans, students, and individuals with unique career challenges. As a statewide initiative with localized branches, OhioMeansJobs hosts regular job fairs and career-building events aimed at strengthening local economies and empowering individuals to reach their career goals.

July Career Fair

At the Lorain County event, Watteredge was one of many companies across various industries who came out to meet potential candidates and share information about what we do. Industries represented at the fair included copper manufacturing, welding services, electrical cable production, in-home caregiving, job placement agencies, military and highway patrol, and other government-related fields. It was a vibrant and diverse environment showcasing the range of opportunities available in our region.

We truly enjoyed the chance to meet and speak with so many enthusiastic job seekers and community members. Events like these are a great reminder of the value of face-to-face conversations and the impact they can have on helping individuals find meaningful employment. We hope that through these conversations, we were able to provide a clearer understanding of the work we do at Watteredge—from our expertise in manufacturing and engineering to the company culture and values that drive our team.

For those who weren’t able to attend—or if you still have questions—we invite you to connect with us directly. Whether you’re curious about our open positions, want to learn more about the industries we serve, or are interested in starting a career at Watteredge, we’re here to help.
