With the increasing demand for computer network installations, telecommunications grounding and bonding are critical to ensure proper systems operation.

The high sensitivity of telecommunications electronic equipment requires that the cabling and power be effectively equalized to prevent loops or transients that can cause damage. This requires a complete grounding and bonding system that goes beyond the basic green wire methodology.

Watteredge offers high-quality UL Listed telecommunications grounding busbars (TGB) and telecommunications main grounding busbars (TMGB).  Our grounding busbars are an off-the-shelf economical solution designed to meet the requirements of ANSI/TIA/ EIA-J-STD-607 for use in the wall-mounted grounding connection point for telecommunication systems and equipment.

Watteredge telecommunication grounding bars are UL Listed grounding bars that meet the requirements of ANSI/TIA/ EIA-J-STD-607 for use in the wall-mounted grounding connection point for telecommunication systems and equipment.

Our grounding busbars are available in a 2” wide by ¼” thick size with two-hole patterns for use with two-hole cable lugs. All telecommunication grounding busbars are shipped pre-assembled; however, we can provide additional configurations for our customers upon request.

UL Listed Grounding and Bonding Braids

We also offer UL 467 Listed grounding and bonding braids and jumpers specially designed as flexible grounding connectors intended to carry a charge to ground.  Manufactured from hard-drawn electrolytic tough pitch 110 alloy solid copper, they will stand up to long-term use in any environment. 

Watteredge grounding braids are a reliable and convenient grounding solution for telecommunications applications as well as other applications that require flexibility and durability. 

Variable Frequency Drive Cable Shield Termination Kit

Watteredge provides Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Shield Termination Kits for proper termination for the VFD cable overall shield.  Shield Termination Kids also allow for a low impedance path at high frequency for common mode current created by the drive to return to the inverter via the shield, minimizing potential problems due to uncontrolled currents.

Our shield termination kits can be used with copper tape shield VFD cables and copper braid / aluminum foil shield VFD cables. They may be also used on both copper tape shields and copper braid shields and where cable is installed in conduit as well used in conjunction with cable glands.
